How it started

Utilio started from our founder's time in the Air Force. Service members would arrive at a new duty station, find housing that looked affordable on paper, and sign a lease — only to discover utilities pushed the real monthly cost far higher than expected.
That gap — between the listed price and the true cost of living somewhere — is what Utilio was built to close. Anyone relocating, comparing cities, or buying their first home faces the same blind spot. So we built a tool where real homeowners share their actual bills, anonymously, so the next person has the full picture before they sign anything.
